      To begin, college can be enough to find a career if you build social bonds with people that are influential in your area of study. If you build friendships this way, they can help you get into the field and find a job more easily then having to apply and convince an employer that you are good enough with no references.
      Secondly, college can be enough if you go into the right area of study. Some fields are very hard to find a job in without references. Music education is a hard job to find a job in. Some graduates take years to find teaching jobs, while others that know people find jobs more quickly. If you don't know anyone to help you find a job then you should go into a field that is in high demand of your degree.         Finally, college can be enough if you look for potential jobs as you study. If you plan to be a nurse or lawyer, try to find a part time job working at a desk at a doctors office or lawyers office. This way you can build bonds and establish work ethic. Once you have graduated it won't be as hard to find a job because your name will have already been established.
