Blog Post 8 Reflective

I feel that in blog post 2 I did a thorough job in expressing what college is and that everyone reading the post fully understands what college is. So "Why College"? In conclusion, It is that part of life to get the education so that a career will be possible, a time to build best friends that will help in the chosen career path, and a chance to get to where every day we all dream for, and that is to have the career that is very desired
In blog post three I felt that I did a thorough job in explaining what college is good for. In conclusion, college is good for finding a job, acquiring an education, and making social bonds that last a lifetime and help you find jobs.
In blog post four I felt that I did a thorough job in explaining what college is used for. In Conclusion, college can be enough if you take the appropriate steps while you are in college. If you build friendships and bonds with important people, go into a high demand job field, and look for potential jobs as you study then college is enough.
In all of my best blogs I expressed and taught about what college is and what is used for as well as hey you should go to college.

Blog Post 7 Revision of Blog Post 3

When asked what college is good for it is obvious that college is good for many things, but the three that are most important are getting a job, acquiring an education, and making social bonds that last a lifetime.
First, college offers the opportunity to find a career that suits the individual. Jobs are hard to find in today's society without an education. There are many great jobs available to those who have an education. Those who do not are subject to working at low paying jobs where the individual will be unhappy with themselves. http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2010/04/05/the-case-for-a-useless-degree.html
Second, college offers the chance to not only get a job but get an education. An education is sometimes taken for granted. Some material learned in school often times feels useless to the student; however, usually in life it is found that everything learned is sacred  because all information becomes useful at some point in our life. Those with an education are always the more powerful people, and those without an education are often times taken advantage of.
Finally, college gives people an opportunity to make bonds that last a lifetime. Friendships make an individual feel better about themselves. Friendships also help people get jobs and get into social organizations. If you have an education but no social bonds then it may be harder for you to get a desired position. It is very self explanatory as to why social bonds can help an individual, and therefore makes making friends in college very useful.
In conclusion, college is good for finding a job, acquiring an education, and making social bonds that last a lifetime and help you find jobs.

When asked "Why College" many reasons come to mind but only a few really stick out, but only three pertain to myself. College is the only way to have a career, it is a chance to build lasting bonds, and college makes one be proud of oneself.
So "Why College"? In conclusion, It is that part of life to get the education so that a career will be possible, a time to build best friends that will help in the chosen career path, and a chance to get to where every day we all dream for, and that is to have the career that is very so earnestly desired
On the other hand, how can college be bad? College often times discourages individuals from being what the want to be. College is very expensive and you will probably be paying back your loans for a lifetime. Also college is stressful and often times it would be easier to just find a job. Finally college is useless if you go into a field of study where the degree can't help you get a job in the real world. In conclusion, college is a choice based off of personal preference and decisions.

When asked "Why College" many reasons come to mind but only a few really stick out, but only three pertain to myself. College is the only way to have a career, it is a chance to build lasting bonds, and college makes one be proud of oneself.
First, College seems like the only way to succeed in life and without it life can become extremely difficult. Every career field worth more than minimum wage requires a college diploma so without it a degree it would be impossible to ever have money.
Secondly, college is an opportunity to meet people and build bonds that will last for a lifetime. In high school everyone makes friends and best friends but usually those bonds break when you move off to different colleges. It is very seldom that you will find a person that is closer to all their high school friends better than their college friends. In high school people are adolescent and in college people become adult and therefore must have adult relationships and bonds.
Finally, going to college is something that can make people be proud of themselves. Most people end up not going to college or even still dropping out. It is when we complete the college walk of life that it is realized that no longer must you go to class everyday and study, but now your life changes and now you must wake up every day and work a job to support a family. It is then that it is realized that now you have worked every day since kindergarten to get to where you are now and then you sigh a sigh of relief and pat yourself on the back.
So "Why College"? In conclusion, It is that part of life to get the education so that a career will be possible, a time to build best friends that will help in the chosen career path, and a chance to get to where every day we all dream for, and that is to have the career that is very so earnestly desired.

Share or Die

I chose to write about how the author came up with the title Share or Die. The author met a homeless man and gave him three dollars. The homeless man askedhim what he did for a living and he told in he wrote about state or die. The homeless man said that he understood and if people didn't share with him that he would die. That got the author really thinking about his purpose. Jeff, the author, said that a year earlier, his girlfriend drank herself to death alone in a motel room. He said she wouldn’t have died had someone been with her. For him, isolation equaled death. Jeff explained his perspective further, that he had no problem giving his last dollar or cigarette to a friend, that it comes back when you need it. But there are those who just take. You stay away from them. The conversation with Jeff marked a turning point in his thinking. He had thought of sharing as merely smart because it creates positive social, environmental and economic change through one strategy.
That is how the title was created and the basis and outline of the book of essays.
