When asked "Why College" many reasons come to mind but only a few really stick out, but only three pertain to myself. College is the only way to have a career, it is a chance to build lasting bonds, and college makes one be proud of oneself.
First, College seems like the only way to succeed in life and without it life can become extremely difficult. Every career field worth more than minimum wage requires a college diploma so without it a degree it would be impossible to ever have money.
Secondly, college is an opportunity to meet people and build bonds that will last for a lifetime. In high school everyone makes friends and best friends but usually those bonds break when you move off to different colleges. It is very seldom that you will find a person that is closer to all their high school friends better than their college friends. In high school people are adolescent and in college people become adult and therefore must have adult relationships and bonds.
Finally, going to college is something that can make people be proud of themselves. Most people end up not going to college or even still dropping out. It is when we complete the college walk of life that it is realized that no longer must you go to class everyday and study, but now your life changes and now you must wake up every day and work a job to support a family. It is then that it is realized that now you have worked every day since kindergarten to get to where you are now and then you sigh a sigh of relief and pat yourself on the back.
So "Why College"? In conclusion, It is that part of life to get the education so that a career will be possible, a time to build best friends that will help in the chosen career path, and a chance to get to where every day we all dream for, and that is to have the career that is very so earnestly desired.

Hey Blake. I do believe that college is the only way to get a good, solid career. Also, i think college is a chance to make friends and build bonds, like you said, that last a lifetime. College is where we grow up and where we become a better person as a whole. I totally agree with your post and that college is just as important to me as well.
ReplyDeleteIn the instructions it states that there is no length requirement but it should take about 750 word. I said what I needed to say in my blog post about why I decided to go to college in less that that.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the reasons you decided to go to college. A good life long career is a hard thing to come by if you happen not to go to college. The bonds made in college are amazing as these will be some of your best friends throughout the rest of your life.
Getting the education for a good career in college is a great thing to strive for. I can't say anything about bonds so far mainly because i have only seen 2 weeks of college but everyone talks very highly of it. I do believe that I will be proud of the degree I earn after college. I like your post, Good job.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about feeling self worth of graduating. Both of my parents did not graduate so I want to accomplish something they did not. I guess it will take some time to make friends because this is a new phase of life for everyone, but friends made in college last longer and are real friends.
ReplyDeleteBlake, I enjoyed reading your blog post. You stated some very true statements. I wish you could have explain more about the "high school bonds" and "college bonds". I agreed with all your reasons of WHY COLLEGE. They were very similar to my thoughts on WHY COLLEGE. I hope to read more from you!
